Let Me Show You How To Create a Visual Presentation

That Gets Your Audience On Your Side Using Video But No Graphics

Now people say this all the time, ‘You need to get a video on your webpage.’ But no one really tells you how to get started. In fact, a lot of people say it even when they haven’t done it themselves. But why do we struggle, no, more to the point why do YOU struggle to create videos for your business? You know that it will help you, right. You know that it can help you be seen as more of an expert right? So why are you not doing it?

There are many reasons why you may not be doing online video, but here are the main reasons why I didn’t do it.

I thought I had  nothing to say

This was down to not being confident enough to tell people what I knew or at least what I thought.

I thought I looked and sounded weird on camera

It took me a while but I realised that what I saw was what everyone else saw every day.

Marvin.., GET OVER YOURSELF!

I didn’t like the idea of ‘performing’.

…Until I started performing as me! Now I love it. try and be yourself.

The reasons above will stop the best of us but like anything else, the more you do it, the easier it gets. As I have developed, I have started noticing the things  that help me the most in my videos. These are not the technical aspects but more the personal aspects that stop us the must. Below are the three main things that I believe empower me to make better videos.

Learn how to tell a good story.

  • Start with a personal/fictional story that we can all relate to.
  • Create a strong hook to capture the audience’s imagination.
  • Make it conversational.

Pace Yourself.

  • Match the speed of delivery to the feel of the section you are on.
  • Pause around key points.
  • Deliver information in blocks of three.

Don’t restrict your body.

  • If you want to move.., MOVE!
  • Match your movement to your delivery pace.
  • Use your facial features and body positioning to convey emotion.

Now I’m not saying that these are the only things that make up a great video (we also need to look at the intent of your video, the style and many other things) but mastering the above will help you perform that all important action, hitting publish. Train yourself to get your content out there, make your mistakes early and get better quicker.
